Hume City Council

Greenvale Indoor Cricket Centre (GICC) is an integral project for Hume City Council. Located within Greenvale Recreation Reserve the project establishes an elite sport training environment, creating a destination venue that ties the immediate precinct to the surrounding Reserve programs and urban fabric.

The project’s objective is to bridge the foundation development and cricket talent within the municipality, while promoting collective gathering through an appreciation of sport. The Indoor Cricket Centre provides a cohesive integration of precinct, facility and field of play through activation of sight lines, through a new forecourt and urban design.

The proposed high performance training venue will comprise a 6-lane indoor cricket training facility, performance analysis and administrative rooms including camera motion systems to review bowling and batting actions, breakout foyer space and cafe, change room and public amenities.

The program planning accommodates a multi-functional building, where elements of the facility are modified and only operational depending on need. This efficiently caters for the diverse needs of weekday indoor cricket training, weeknight oval training and weekend sports full precinct use. Collectively, the project delivers a vibrant, accessible high-performance asset with the versatility required for full enjoyment by the Greenvale community.
