Swinburne University of Technology
Swinburne University of Technology engaged us to complete a series of extensive refurbishment works to student accommodation, across four buildings within their Hawthorn campus. Since 2016, we have undertaken refurbishment of 1 common area, 4 studio apartments, 69 multi-room apartments and 84 dorm rooms over several tranches.
Central to our approach has been the development of unitised design and documentation packages that provide the University with flexibility and cost certainty around procurement. Additionally, each tranche of construction has required planning and staging designed to minimise disruption and meet stringent timelines to ensure that accommodation is ready for the influx of students at the beginning of each calendar year.
This important series of refurbishments that have provided warm and comforting environments for students to thrive in, these apartments were delivered on budget successfully during holiday periods without disruption to University function or student life.
